Information about Adoption Service Providers

Federal Regulations require CEAS to disseminate certain specific information to the public about accreditation and approval status and about complaints against accredited agencies and approved persons.  All other documents and information received by CEAS, may not be disclosed to the public without specific authorization.  In accordance with those requirements, the following information is available.

• Up to date information for each accredited agency and approved person under the jurisdiction of CEAS is published in the Adoption Service Provider Directory.

• The names, addresses, and contact information for each agency and person that is or has been accredited or approved is available in the List of Agencies and Persons that have been Accredited or Approved.

• ​The names of applicants denied accreditation or who have not subsequently been accredited or approved  and the names of agencies or persons that have been suspended, cancelled or debarred is available in the List of Applicants Denied Accreditation or Approval and Agencies and Persons Subject to Suspension, Cancellation, Refusal to Renew, and Debarment.

Information Available Upon Request

Upon inquiry or specific request, in accordance with 22 CFR Part 96.93 and 96.93, CEAS provides the following information:

​

• confirmation of whether or not a specific agency or person has a pending application for accreditation or approval with CEAS, and, if so, the date of the application and whether it is under active consideration or whether a decision on the application has been deferred.

• if an agency or person has been subject to suspension, cancellation, refusal to renew accreditation or approval, or debarment, a brief statement of the reasons for the action, including, where relevant, the identity and conduct of any foreign supervised provider.

• confirmation if any complaints have been substantiated against an accredited agency or approved person, and if so, information about the status and nature of any such complaints.
